In the end, I feel that I was misled and deceived. Honesty is the best policy. This is why I won't recommend this Snap Fitness location, or any other Snap Fitness location, to any of my friends or family.
But more importantly, I feel that I was misled and extorted, because it wasn't made clear to me that I would be forced to purchase my access card by signing up for one month of membership, vs. the $20 refundable deposit that was advertised (but apparently only works for a sustaining membership).
Deception.
The staff is very friendly and the gym is very clean!
I was told under the free one-week offer, that if I wanted to pay and continue my membership for a month, I would pay a $20 refundable deposit for my access card.
Did not bring up or ever mention that there was a 30 day cancelation paperwork that had to be signed so tried charging me 40 dollars extra for the month of April and a 20 dollar "equipment fee". Mind you, i go in everytime to make a payment and they had prior knowledge multiple times that i was going to cancel my membership as soon as possible. They still never mentioned it or about extra fees and charges. Im also not the first person who this has happened to, so just be aware of what they are charging you, ESPECIALLY if they have your card number on account. HIGHLY suggest doing a monthly membership and paying cash everytime!
This gym has a lot to offer. Great machines and free weights. Lots of classes such as Zumba and Body Pump. This facility is always super clean and everyone is very friendly-especially Melissa!
I signed up for the free one-week membership. It was a nice place to work out; everything was new and clean.
First of all, I don't understand how using a card for one month will cause more wear and tear vs. using a card for a few years (for which apparently you get your $20 deposit back after turning in the card).
So I signed up for the no-contract/one month only membership, for $40. Looking at my credit card statement, I saw that I had been charged $10 more than I thought I would be. I called this location, and was told that if I signed up for the one-month-only membership, I would be charged $10 for my access card, instead of the $20 refundable deposit, because they wouldn't want the card back due to wear and tear.
Very clean gym, great option with "Fitness on Demand", nice sauna too. Classes and trainers are all great to work with!
